Schools Closing Across Rural America Permanently

Immigrants kept rural America alive...Without immigrants the aged caucuasian populations that populate these areas predominantly are disappearing.White America is quietly self-segregating and in doing so sealing their fate as climate change and high UV radiation sterilize non melanated populations.Part of it is nonwhite Americans leaving urban enclaves and going to the suburbs. It's a fulfillment of the traditional American dream — a path European immigrants took in past generations to leave poor, segregated neighborhoods that relegated them to a lower social class.Data shows that as minorities move into suburbs, white families are making small and personal decisions that add velocity to the momentum of discrimination. They are increasingly choosing to self-segregate into racially isolated communities Many of those moving into suburbs are adding solar panels and electric vehicles as part of their move expenses to offset commuting and rising energy costs.Also the USA is seeing a resurgence of the victory garden.During tough times generations of Americans have turned to food gardening as a way to help feed their families, and our country's current economic downturn is no exception. A recent poll projects a 20 percent rise in the number of households growing vegetables this year over last. In addition to putting food on the table,  this renewed interest in growing one's own food spark a sense of empowerment and community pride many people are also once again planting fruit trees instead of the maples and oak or pine trees most have become accustomed to seeing.A recent report not only tied the persistence of white flight to race, it found that a large amount of white people leaving a neighborhood is more likely to occur in a middle class one, rather than a poor area. The demographic change in America is the economic rise of the formerly marginalized populations who have children and are much younger overall. For white Americans, 56 is the most common age. ... This compares with a median age of just 31 for minorities in the USA.White flight is often reduced to a black and white issue, but the study showed that this phenomenon continued to occur even when it’s Hispanics or Asian residents diversifying middle class neighborhoods. The study found that white flight becomes more likely in middle class neighborhoods when the presence of Hispanics and Asians exceeds 25% and 21%, respectively. About 531 counties have seen their median age decline since 2010, and the majority of those were in Midwestern states.More than 90 percent of the population in four states — Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont and West Virginia — is made up of non-Hispanic white residents.20 % percent of the populations in Maine and West Virginia were older than 65, In Vermont, the share of the population age 65 or older is 19 percent and the median age of the state is 50..the highest median ages are in Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine.States with the highest percentages of White Americans, as of 2010:
